Wozza’s Cooking Suggestion:
- Fill a pot with enough water to cover the tongue, bring to boil
- Place tongue into boiling water
- Simmer for 3 – 3.5hrs or until skin is soft
- Remove tongue from water and let it cool a little, when handling of tongue is possible remove outer skin
Tips:
- If outer skin is difficult to remove, you haven’t boiled it long enough. It will peel very easily when cooked.
- Removing outer skin will be easiest while tongue is still hot vs. when cold
Serving Suggestion:
- Serve cold with sweet mustard sauce (find my Mom’s recipe below)
